Dana Library and the Graduate School-Newark are pleased to continue the Spring 2021 Graduate Student Success Workshops, designed to integrate students' scholarly, personal, and career goals into a sustained program of professional development. Our next six workshops on 2/9, 2/26, 3/8, 3/16, 4/2, and 5/3, will provide a comprehensive introduction to popular data management, analysis, and visualization tools -- SAS, Qualtrics, Voyant, and Tableau -- as well as Twitter! Text Analysis with Voyant: Voyant Tools is an open-source suite of analysis tools for analyzing texts or a corpus of texts. In this webinar, students will learn basic information about different types of text analysis and their uses. Students will use a prepared corpus to explore different tools in Voyant and discuss how they might use it in their own work. More information about Voyant's suite of tools is available here.

Building a Twitter Bot for Academic Research (a build-while-you-learn workshop): In this workshop, participants will build a Twitterbot designed to capture all tweets with specific hashtags. Casual discussion of other possible bot types for academic research, as well as other techniques for acquiring Twitter data will be included as time permits.
