Earlier today, LGBTQ Student Services, housed under the university's Intercultural Resource Center, awarded the LGBTQ+ Leadership Award to Esperanza Santos (American Studies) and Kateryna Kaplun (Criminal Justice). This award, the Center's highest honor, recognizes these students' tireless efforts to promote visibility for our LGBTQ+ graduate student population this academic year, specifically through community building.
Thank you, Esperanza and Kateryna, for working to make RU-N a little bit brighter for our queer and trans graduate students!
Check out the Rainbow Graduation, which celebrates and honors many other members of the university's community!
*Thanks to Gary Santos Mendoza, Director, Intercultural Resource Center, for contributions to this post!
