<p>There are dozens of databases focused on the humanities. Many are specialized and targeted toward specific areas of study. Others offer broader coverage. This workshop provides an orientation for the wide variety of humanities-related databases available at Rutgers; learning how to choose the most important ones for particular areas; and some tips on the mechanics of database use. Databases to be covered include JSTOR, MLA International Bibliography, and Project Muse.

Formulating a focused, appropriately complex, and workable research question supplies a roadmap for research and writing. This can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be.
